Atlantis Found - Clive Cussler I was a voracious reader once upon a time. I borrowed this book from a friend back in middle school and read it in one day.

It wasn't particularly good, but I had never read anything like it before. To this day, I think it's the only "pulp"-y novel I've ever read. It was pretty cool though -- terribly unbelievable at times, but fun to read.

I guess it's typical action/thriller fare, but there was something about it that appealed to me way back when.
